Providing a unique experience, the program goes beyond technique, with details, concepts and fundamentals.
Born on December 26, 1986, Gregor Gracie was purple-belt world champion in 2004 and 2005, and won a gold medal at the 2009 ADCC Worlds. More recently he had good results in Copa Podio, a Brazilian promotion that gathers the biggest names in international BJJ. He has also done 11 MMA fights to date.
Gregor explains the defensive mindset. Having good defense makes you calmer in the most dangerous positions, and this gives you a lot of confidence in your jiu-jitsu as a whole. “If you are in a bad position and you’re not tapping, your defense is already working.”
Here Gregor teaches the best grip to prevent the kimura finish, and then the best way to free your head and escape the position.
To escape one of the most feared positions in BJJ -- an already-set choke from the back -- Gregor created a defense based on worrying about the position of the body, not the blocking of the hands on the collars.
