Turtle Attacks

Introduction

Introduction

Leo Tunico explains that instead of aiming for the back-take or side control stabilization, this program focuses on taking advantage of your opponent’s turtle position to attack them right there.

Renzo’s Clock Choke

Renzo’s Clock Choke

In this clock variation favored by Renzo, note that instead of the second grip being on the wrist, it goes to the other collar. Tunico’s body positioning across the body prevents his opponent spinning to defend. Adjust the grip before launching the attack.

Crucifix

Crucifix

For the classic crucifix attack, pay attention to how Tunico isolated his opponent’s arm and to the angle for trapping the leg and spinning to attack.
