X-Guard - Part II

After dedicating a week to revealing efficient ways to reach the X-guard, Rafael Costa now emphasizes attacks. He tackles multiple types of sweeps as well asa triangle finish and a progression to the back. This week of Renzo Gracie Online Academy will enable you to build a formidable repertoire of double attacks and even triple ones. If your opponent manages to thwart your first attack from the X, you will keep surprising them with new, serial traps, not unlike the great champions of BJJ. Born on November 5th, 1985, Rafael Costa teaches BJJ at Renzo Gracie Academy and at Gregor Gracie Academy. He has performed well at multiple IBJJF competitions. The nickname “Zé Triângulo” has to do with Rafa’s favorite move – the triangle, which he has been employing with great efficiency since the beginning of his career.
